Re: Login problems with iOS

Thanks a lot ZhangHuangbin. Unfortunately, it's just part of the solution. Apple removed "Trust" option from their certificate settings options. Finally, I was able to solve it like this:

1) Install LetsEncrypt certificate ( on other hand it doesn't matter, which free certificate )
2) Send ti to another account on an Apple device with the newest iOS ( fullchain.pem file from LetsEncrypt )
3) Click the certificate in the email on the Apple device => install it -> add it to trust ones

After this, it started to work.

Hi,
Thanks for your answer.
I didn't found error in /etc/logrotate.d/rsyslog.
I replace the postrotate command in /etc/logrotate.d/php7.0-fpm with the command from the package and now weekly rotation work fine.

    postrotate
        /usr/lib/php/php7.0-fpm-reopenlogs
    endscript

I didn't try yet with an installation out of the box if this issue is reproducible with Debian 9.

Hello,

I am trying to find a problem with signing DKIM emails, and in the logs I found such a record:

amavis[1079]: (01079-01) lookup [dkim_signature_options_bysender], 2 matches for "pnowosielski@ekonferencja.pl", results: "ekonferencja.pl"=>{d=>"ekonferencja.pl",a=>"rsa-sha256",ttl=>"864000"}, "."=>{a=>"rsa-sha256",c=>"relaxed/simple",ttl=>"2592000"}

Is this the correct operation?
Each e-mail has two (2) rules assigned.
One for the right domain and the other (last) general.
I do not know if the latter overwrites the right one?

Best regards,
Pawel

I'm not sure whether i completely understand your situation and questions. sad Here's some general points:

- iRedMail offers you a POP3/IMAP/SMTP server, you can send email through iRedMail server with SMTP Authentication enabled.
- It's your duty to generate beautiful emails (or email templates), this is neither a smtp-server-side feature nor an iRedMail feature.
- iRedMail doesn't limit how many emails you can send out.

Thanks for your thoughts @ZhangHuangbin! I'll check the Roundcube URLs.

My nginx configs are in small snippet files. That configuration file I uploaded is the output of `nginx -T` where it combines all the configs into a single stream of output. I'll double check and remove the duplicates...

Thanks!

Hello Zhang,

For sending bulk emails, I use a PHP script (link to PHP class: https://www.phpclasses.org/package/9-PH … nformation ), this script pushes emails directly to the Postfix queue and it works great. I wanted to additionally secure my domains and set up a DMARC policy in dns, now I get reports that my e-mails (sent by script) do not pass the DKIM check.
How to make DKIM appear in every email, not only in those sent via the normal route (via port 587)?

Best regards,
Pawel

When you say "Stop fail2ban service and try again", do you mean the command...

sudo service fail2ban stop

Because that didn't make any difference.

Nothing is being reported in the "pop3.log*" files when I try to connect.

Hello,
I'm seriously interested in hosting my own iRedMail; probably on FreeBSD.
My question is : is there some sort of disposable / temporary mailbox system in iRedMail ?
I mean I need from time to time a temporary email address just because some site force me to enter an email to download something or any other reason but I dont want to enter a -real- email address to avoid further spam or any sort of unwanted mails. So I enter a temporary mail, reply to the mail they send and forget about it.
So far I use services like guerrilla mail but I'd love to host that service as well.
Is that possible ?

Thanks.

I found solution by myself. I had to use iredmail.mysql from Version 0.9.9 and do command:
mysql vmail < /root/iredmail.mysql

Test add user in iRedAdmin - works.

Hi, I have setup an iRedMail server in AWS, and outgoing mail isn't working. I'm trying to send a test email to two different addresses, one is another iRedMail server, the other is gmail. Both fail. Seems like the server can receive mail just fine. Here are the errors:

Error 1 from the other iRedMail server:

<wayne@theworkmans.us>: host mail.theworkmans.us[97.85.140.184] said: 550 5.1.0

Error 2 from gmail:

    said: 550-5.7.1 This message does not have authentication information or

    5.7.1 information. a6si9227385iog.92 - gsmtp (in reply to end of DATA
    command)

Of note: The domain name momil32.com is hosted by hostgator - I have cpanel access to manage the DNS there, but they don't have a "SPF" type record. I've created a TXT record with an SPF entry in it like so:

mail.momil32.com  TXT      "v=spf1 ip4:18.223.39.255 -all"

The SPF record is the only difference I can identify from other iRedMail server installations I've done. Most I've done, I have the DNS hosted in AWS Route53 and they have an actual SPF record type. HostGator and cPanel don't have SPF record types available. I'm wondering if this is the issue, and if so what could I do about that?

I've setup DKIM and DMARC. The iRedMail server in question that cannot send email is hosted in AWS, I've submitted the proper form for them to lift all restrictions for outgoing mail on this server and to setup a PTR record, this is complete and the IP resolves correctly to the domain name.

I have these firewall rules set on the server (terraform syntax):

  ingress {
    from_port   = 80
    to_port     = 80
    protocol    = "tcp"
    cidr_blocks = ["0.0.0.0/0"]

Hello, I installed iRedMail completely and everything was ok, so I switched all our mail to that server. But then we decided to install another application that re-wrote Nginx config for sites-available (& enabled). Of course, no backup was made smile We restored everything related to work with php section (we use 5.6 for old cms & 7.2 for everything else including Roundcube) through unix socket

Any my nginx config caused errors - 502, then Internal Server Error, etc. The problem seems to be in socket - I am unable to find normal config or manual on how to setup python app to work under nginx.

Restarting of iredadmin service caused failure. So now I need to reinstall and re-configure manually iRedAdmin console.
Please advise on any manual / procedure description on how to return it back to life.

Hello,

You should see NGINX config, it should be made like this (see /etc/nginx/sites-available for Ubuntu):

1) Found section starting:
server {
    listen 443;
    server_name  _;
...

2) Copy it until sign } or edit to leave only http AND set listen 80; (instead listen 443;)

3) Comment with # or remove https redirect string (if exist): return 301 https://$host$request_uri;
