I noted another puzzling point.

The configuration of additional smtp ports do not work if i manually edit the master.cf and restart postfix using /etc/init.d/postfix restart

It works only if go into webmin, postfix and enable the server process related to 5870 and 465

Any clue on what webmin does differently that it is able to activate smtpd services on 465 and 587

I use iredmail pro, how can I use it to manage outgoing ip (declared in master.cf like described here: https://docs.iredmail.org/send.out.emai … sses.html)
Is there a special way to use this "local" smtp ?

Because I tried to define them as outgoing relay but without succes.

hi

this is resolved

after changes to master.cf restarting postfix using /etc/init.d/postfix  ***will not*** reload the new config

Must execute "postfix reload" to reload the configuration.

Hi,
It's work now.
The problem is in my boss computer - it don't have CallDavSynchronizer and when he install program callendar accepts works perfectly, just must remember to use EAS or CallDavSync to calendar work as well. I run else auto accept without ldap, just few tweaks on sql and sogo.conf.

I can't seem to log into my email using Thunderbird, RoundCube works fine but as soon as I try to log into my email using Thunderbird I get the following error: "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password."

My thunderbird settings are:
Hostname: my server hostname
IMAP: Port: 993 SSL: SSL/TLS Authentication: normal password
SMTP: Port: 587 SSL: STARTTLS Authentication: normal password

I checked the following logs but they are all empty apart from imap.log which has logs from me logging in on RoundCube:
/var/log/mail.log
/var/log/dovecot/dovecot.log
/var/log/dovecot/imap.log

Any idea what could be causing it?

I have the following error in imap.log now when trying to login via Thunderbird:
TLS handshaking: SSL_accept() failed: error:14094412:SSL routines:ssl3_read_bytes:sslv3 alert bad certificate: SSL alert number 42

Will installing a LetsEncrypt SSL fix this and allow me to log in via Thunderbird?

With a brand-new installation, amavisd-release wont work.

Can't connect to UNIX socket /var/lib/amavis/amavisd.sock: No such file or directory at /usr/sbin/amavisd-release line 271.

Either open  /etc/amavis/conf.d/50-user and find the following;

# Socket file, used by amavisd-release or amavis-milter.
$unix_socketname = '/var/run/amavis/amavisd.socket';

Modify the socketpath to the one amavisd-release is looking for:
$unix_socketname = '/var/lib/amavis/amavisd.sock';


OR

Edit file /usr/sbin/amavisd-release and modify the socketpath the script is looking for.


At least for Debian 10, a brand new installation turns releaseing quarantined mails into an socket error without any further manual modification from configs

It seems you didnt not sent to your server, but tried to send trough your server, without proper authenication, so you cannot send mails as user@example.com if u are not authenicated as user@example.com
