Re: User compromised, if account enabled spam continues.

Solved. The hack was one issue. Once solved, the users deferred mail, as shown in the logs, kept sending and sending because postfix had already accepted mail from an authorized user. Any email which has been refused by another email server tries for five or six days.

SO after fixing any hacked password, check your mail queues for deferred emails and delete them.

It means you don't have correct ssl cert/key files specified in OpenLDAP config file. Please double check.

You have to remove related packages, config files, SQL database (if any) manually.

Thanks, that works, I tried before with only enabledeliver=0, but enabledlda=0 had to be used as well.

Actually "enablelda" is the one used in recent iRedMail releases, "enabledeliver" is used in old iRedMail releases. It depends on Dovecot versions.

I've created the catch-all record in forwardings table:
INSERT INTO forwardings (address, forwarding, domain, dest_domain, is_list, active) VALUES ('@mydomain.com', 'someuser@gmail.com', 'mydomain.com', 'gmail.com', 1, 1);

We don't set "is_list=1" for catch-all account.

- iRedMail doesn't use "spamass-milter" milter, i'm not sure whether it impacts in this case.
- Your clamav is not running, it may cause mail stacked in queue.

No enough info for troubleshooting.
Any related error in Postfix log file?

Hello,

I just noticed that newly added catch-all domains are not recieving domains (dropped):

Jan  8 12:06:04 msg postfix/smtpd[2930]: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from mx-out.tlen.pl[193.222.135.148]: 554 5.7.1 <traolo@someodomainiown.pl>: Relay access denied; from=<senderemail@o2.pl> to=<traolo@someodomainiown.pl> proto=ESMTP helo=<mx-out.tlen.pl>

Old domains catch-all are working fine. Database entries are set correctly (forwardings table entry for new catch all domain is set properly as the old ones)

Any clue where i could look to find the solution?

Thanks!

Can you recommend a host for iRedMail. I've tried so many with no luck

I've used iRedMail before with great success but this was a few years back now.

I need to do the same again but I can't find anywhere to host: I've tried DigitalOcean (port 25 blocked), Amazon Web Services (port 25 blocked and so far no luck getting them to open it), I've tried HostWinds (every IP I get is listed in UCEPROTECTL2 blacklist)

If in recent times you've managed to roll out iRedMail somewhere would you mind sharing with me which provider you used.

Thanks very much.

Cheers
Chris

Good afternoon. I need to find out which of my iredmail administrator deleted or modified an email account. Is this possible? I checked the logs but could not find any useful information about it

Maybe give Linode a try? https://www.linode.com

I'm a 10-year old Linode client, after Linode announced they blocked port 25, i didn't try to setup a new server on Linode myself after our first one (obviously it's our currently running mail server for @iredmail.org - "mail.iredmail.org"), but about 2 weeks ago i opened a support ticket to ask them open port 25 for my new VPS for testing our own email archiving software (still work in progress), they told me that since i'm a loyal client, all my new VPS won't have port 25 blocked. smile

if you really need Linode, sign up with my Referral Code, my Linode account will receive a credit of $15-20.00. smile

Confirmed it's a bug of iRedMail-1.3.2. You can fix it by removing parameter "SQL_DB_DRIVER =" in /opt/iredapd/settings.py, then restart "iredapd" service.

I move some existing mail server to iRedMail, and i have an issue with : existing account with alias.

I have : an existing account : user@example.org with a mailbox.
This user@example.org have some extra alias : user@example.com.

Finally when a mail is sent to user@example.org it goes to user@example.org mailbox and user@example.com on another server.

Is there a way to do the same ?

Currently i only see a sieve action to do such thing.

With LDAP: Add a mail alias account : i can create only non existing mail user. And with Per-user alias address the alias are local only.

Another solution than sieve ?

Thank you

Thanks very much smile

Right I'll check out Linode and keep my fingers crossed.

Yeah I had a similar experience with Digital Ocean, my one account dated from a time before the port blocking, and my security profile meant I could spin up new Droplets also without 25 blocked. Trouble was it was in a Data centre that was a bit older and didn't offer many new features.

Cheers
Chris

Hello everyone. I'm trying to update SOGo from 4.07 Debian installed from the repositories to version 5 of the nightly build (when installing the SOGo iRedmail was not installed). And I get errors when working with the EAS. I also can't add contacts to the address book. And when I switch to the calendar, I get the error http 501.
The SOGo logs contain the following:
When trying to add contacts:
NAME:NSInvalidArgumentException REASON:EOKeyValueQualifier(instance) does not recognize setValue: INFO:(null)
Who faced, help. I also installed sogo from deb packages. Soap packages were always installed.

I try to install iRedMail 1.3.2 from your tarball on a "fresh" Ubuntu 20.04 machine at Server4you. The installation fails because there exists a resident mysql installation that the mariadb installation does not seem to overrule. Thus I get "access denied for root@localhost".
Shall I get rid of all mysql, postfix, dovecot and other relevant stuff installed by default on this machine before starting the iRedMail installation ? Can you provide a script to accomplish this in a proper way ?
Greetings,
Robert Herzog
