Looking forward to your further investigation.

My investigation is stuck because conn.execute is taking most of the time.

I was playing around with SQL_ENGINE.. setting in settings.py but the only alkternative "mysql+mysqldb" is not working.

Have you any ideas about where to continue the investigation?

Thanks!

Re: Possible to use LDAP for amavisd lookup ?

Hi,

I want to notify local recipients only when they try to send a banned file ($warnbannedrecip) or bad header ($warnbadhsender). In order to work, we need to tell to amavisd if a user is local or not, and I don't want to manage two databases (LDAP backend for mail accounts, SQL to configure local recipients for amavisd).

Also, I believe amavisd use the local map for other things (DKIM signing for local senders only, Spam headers for local recipicients only, etc).

If the local map is not configured, everyone is considered as local, so external users will be warned, etc, which is not why I want.

Can you please provide me the LDAP configuration for amavisd if you still got it ?

Regards,
Valentin

Here is an update. I just ran apt-get update and apt-get upgrade on this fresh install of Ubuntu 18.04. Then I ran bash iRedMail.sh again and now I see these messages.

root@mlr:~/iRedMail-1.4.0# bash iRedMail.sh

What am I doing wrong?

I recently changed my DNS servers.  I've updated /etc/resolv.conf and /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eno16780032 and rebooted twice.

Every now and then the system still does DNS queries against one of the old DNS servers (and only one of them, never the other one).  I've verified with "tcpdump -i eno16780032 dst old.dns.server.ip", I see the DNS queries for A, PTR, and MX records, including ones to the RBLs.

I've searched everywhere for the old server's IP address and hostname and can't find them, but these are obviously lookups being done for incoming emails.  This server is dedicated to email.

Is the old IP address stored somewhere I haven't looked?  I obviously don't want to take down the old DNS server until I find why it's getting queried.  I'm logging all queries on the old DNS server and my iRedMail server is the only one still using it.  I can also do queries from the CLI and those never hit the old server.

Here's a sample of the logs:

I've got to do a lot of upgrading to get to the recent version.  I see instructions like this in some of the steps where the referenced version isn't available:  Upgrade iRedAdmin (open source edition) to the latest stable release (0.8)

Since my plan is to go through each step as required from 0.9.5-1 to 1.4.0 Can I skip the upgrades of iRedAPD, iRedAdmin, and Roundcube in each upgrade step and wait until the last one to upgrade those?

I've updated the A record for the old DNS server name to the new DNS server's IP.  I'm still seeing queries hitting the old server so it looks like it's definitely the IP and not the name that's stored somewhere.

Knowing this you should be able to manually setup Apache to serve the Roundcube files (be careful with permissions when setting up a webserver with Roundcube).

Thanks for the fast reply.

I think the OS has been modified by Oracle, as there seem to be changes to OS (such as Oracle repos in the yum package manager). However, the file you mentioned seems to have no changes:

NAME="CentOS Linux"
VERSION="8"
ID="centos"
ID_LIKE="rhel fedora"
VERSION_ID="8"
PLATFORM_ID="platform:el8"
PRETTY_NAME="CentOS Linux 8"
ANSI_COLOR="0;31"
CPE_NAME="cpe:/o:centos:centos:8"
HOME_URL="https://centos.org/"
BUG_REPORT_URL="https://bugs.centos.org/"
CENTOS_MANTISBT_PROJECT="CentOS-8"
CENTOS_MANTISBT_PROJECT_VERSION="8"

I managed to fix this issue by completely disabling firewalld, but this is of course not preferred and I wish Oracle provided better integration for apps like this. Thanks for your help!

Don't know anything about Tomcat config files. However, in order for Tomcat to listen on port 80 and 443 Nginx has to be listening on other ports. Have you disabled Nginx or set Nginx to listen on other ports?
