Re: Create Secondary Ports for POP3-S(995) IMAP-S(993) SMTP-S (587 & 465)

*) For Postfix, it's easy to achieve this by duplicate the settings in /etc/postfix/master.cf with a different port number.
*) But seems Dovecot cannot listen same service on multiple ports, you'd better ask in Dovecot mailing list.

BTW, will it be easier to overcome this block by setting up VPN for these users?

It's obvious that your sogo.conf is not configured at all. Try to get the backup file under /etc/sogo/ (maybe backed up during package update).

Another way to get a working sogo.conf is setting up a virtual machine and install iRedMail. Copy sogo.conf to your server, replace the mysql username/password, then restart sogo service.

Email sent with "sendmail" program should be queued directly without smtp authentication, and it doesn't go through port 25/587.

So just to debug I added my servers IP 144.76.x.y to /etc/postfix/main.cf mynetworks. Then I found that I also had to add it to /opt/iredapd/settings.py MYNETWORKS and even to amavisd.conf @inet_acl. But even after adding the IP thru there I got a Blocked MTA-BLOCKED error from amavisd.
Please give me a clue why email from the local machine is not properly whitelisted to go out.

I'm confused here, what are you going to do? what's the expected result?

For normal email sending, no additional changes are required, just send with smtp authentication is ok.

I suppose this should be done by the skin itself.

Hi,

Because of the crash of my NAS, I have lost my VM ... So I had to reinstall from scratch a new iRedMail server based on the last version.
This  is working ... But as "unison" was not very efficient this time, I have clone my freshly build iRedMail server. Now I do have 2 emails server  strictly identical (except for the IP and the hostname) ...
I would like now to  find a solution to sync all my IMAP folders between my both servers.
I  am today playing with  the  tool "imapsync" but I  am stuck because of my ssl  config (still  working on it) what solution are you using ?? What tools are you using ??

Thx

Dear Team,
After i updating the server to the new iRedmail i can't send or receive any email.
Why i try to send an email i get the following error:

SMTP Error (451): Failed to add recipient "hosam.zewain@gmail.com" (4.3.0 <admin@salonatcom.com>: Temporary lookup failure).

Thanks in advance.

How did you update the server?

Is package 'postfix-pcre' installed?

Is MySQL service running? Is package 'postfix-mysql' installed?

Hi,

Thanks for reply!
Yes, postfix is running...

Everything I did was upgrade from ubuntu 14 to ubuntu 16.

I have just checked that receiving mails also doesn't work... sad Connect to the server via email client also not possible... There is nothing listening on ports 465 and 587 for example. I have checked netstat.

by default rcs_skins is in the plugin folder but not enabled i had to add it to plugins list, i did that.

now i remember adding/changing some lines on a file to let it load the multiple skins but i cant remember what to do.

I already installed my skins and can choose them manually once logged in to the email account
and enabled rcs skins plugin, now i need to know what to change to make it actually work.

Hi Zhang

Thanks a lot for your answer and sorry for the late reply.

I just wanted to add to this post what confused me during the iredmail installation.

It says: specify your first mail domain name, which can NOT be the same as the server hostname.
(I am actually still confused what should be defined there, because it seems to have defined my server hostname).

I added a picture for explanation.

Greetings, Chris

Hi Forum

I hope somebody with iRedmail server and SOGo on an OSX system reads this:

I am sharing calendars in a small team.
The calendars that are being shared with me I subscribed to with iCal and I can see all of them in iCal.

But in Reminders.app (tasks) I can only see the tasks/reminders from my own calendars or the ones that I shared to others.
(iOS devices connected with EAS show all tasks, also the ones from subscribed calendars).

Can someone tell me if there is a trick to subscribe to the delegated calendar tasks with the Reminder.app or can someone give me a recomendation for another tasks application that shows also Tasks from delegated/subscribed calendars?

Maybe a bit special usecase but surely not completely unusual?

Every tip would be very much appreciated ;-)

Greetings, Chris

It's obvious that your sogo.conf is not configured at all. Try to get the backup file under /etc/sogo/ (maybe backed up during package update).

Another way to get a working sogo.conf is setting up a virtual machine and install iRedMail. Copy sogo.conf to your server, replace the mysql username/password, then restart sogo service.

Yes the backup is taken. Now work.

There was a problem ahead.
I had to set up the server again.

Sogo is updating every day. I did not know this good or bad.
thank you.
That's how we did it.

I am sorry for my English

To create a server with high availability (2 VMs in different datacentres) is it as simple as using Dovecot Replication, with MariaDB  replication? I'm using SOGo for webmail, contacts and calendar with ActiveSync. I'd also be looking to point my MX record at both servers.

Any suggestions on this setup?

That doesn't mean you must upgrade sogo everyday.

If it's working fine, you can wait for its next release, then upgrade (from nightly build repo).

*) Don't use your server hostname in this dialog page.
*) Please input your mail domain name. (the domain part of your email address).

If the mail domain name you're going to use is same as server hostname, you must change server hostname first, then re-run iRedMail installer.
