Hi,

after some ports updates/compiles i found an error in /var/log/maillog:

pbox1 postfix/pipe[19316]: E077E3F04F: to=<info@xxxxx.de>, relay=dovecot, delay=0.11, delays=0.03/0/0/0.08, dsn=2.0.0, status=sent (delivered via dovecot service (lda(info@xxxxxx.de,)Error: net_connect_unix(/var/run/dovecot/stats-writer) failed: Permission denied))

Under /var/run/dovecot/ i found (amongst others) the following files:

srw-------   1 root     wheel      0 Nov 30 12:00 old-stats
prw-r--r--   1 vmail    wheel      0 Nov 30 12:00 old-stats-mail

srw-------   1 root     wheel      0 Nov 30 12:00 stats-reader
srw-rw----   1 root     dovecot    0 Nov 30 12:00 stats-writer

What are the required permissions for "stats-writer" ? Or is there another cause for the error message ?

Need to recreate Postfix master.cf - smtp server fails to connect

==== REQUIRED BASIC INFO OF YOUR IREDMAIL SERVER ====
- iRedMail version (check /etc/iredmail-release): 0.9.8
- Linux/BSD distribution name and version: Debian 9.5
- Store mail accounts in which backend (LDAP/MySQL/PGSQL): MySQL
- Web server (Apache or Nginx): Nginx
- Manage mail accounts with iRedAdmin-Pro? Yes
- [IMPORTANT] Related original log or error message is required if you're experiencing an issue.
====

I'm having an issue connecting to the smtp server, after the postfix master.cf file was somehow changed and almost all of the Other external delivery methods were removed when a parameter in postfix main.cf was accidentally set to nothing (smtp-amavis_destination_recipient_limit).

After that happened, mail completely stopped and I've managed to restore incoming delivery, and delivery through SOGo and Roundcube, but I can't connect to the stmp server. Would it be easier to run the installation again, or try to fix the postfix config files?

So, I'm getting this message in SOGo's logs:

This happens if I try to send the email from Outlook or Android device using EAS, however, if it's targetting my domain it passes without any issue, and if I send from Roundcube it goes to any domain without a problem.

Hi @cipri,

You need to check the plugin document first, follow its instruction.

Your description is not clear, hard to help. To login to PGSQL database, you can switch to postgresql deamon user with "su" command, then run "psql -d <db>" (replace "<db>" by the real database name) to login/connect to this database.

Currently the cloud platform doesn't support upgrading existing iRedMail server (deployed with the downloadable iRedMail installer).

Please follow our tutorials below instead:
https://docs.iredmail.org/iredmail.releases.html

Sounds like you have improper/incorrect DNS records for these hosted domains, and other mail servers can not correctly find your server by DNS query. I suggest double check.

This means IMAP (port 143) is not running, which means Dovecot is NOT running.

You need to switch to root user with either su or sudo to restart Dovecot service.

Try to restart Dovecot, it should fix the issue by self.

It's better setup a VM and perform iRedMail installation to get a sample (should be same) config file, posting in form and wait may take some time.

This syntax is wrong, it should be:

mynetworks = 127.0.0.1 172.20.0.8 172.17.0.6 192.168.3.4 172.30.0.3 192.168.2.11 172.17.0.10 172.17.0.20

After above 2 fixes, sogo should be fine.

You did it wrong.

"Relay received mail to" should be something like: "lmtp:inet:[ip-of-destination-server]:24" (without quotes).

now i use debian 8 and iredmail, i want to upgrade system to debian 9 and upgrade iredmail via cloud install, can i do it without remove previous version of iredmail 0.9.6?

Currently the cloud platform doesn't support upgrading existing iRedMail server (deployed with the downloadable iRedMail installer).

Please follow our tutorials below instead:

You did it wrong.

"Relay received mail to" should be something like: "lmtp:inet:[ip-of-destination-server]:24" (without quotes).

Dear Zhang,
  Presently i used iredadmin pro on config, and as the instruction above "lmtp:inet:[ip-of-destination-server]:24"  where am i do the configure?

my iredadmin pro config have do almost i guess what you said, but it still lied on the same error, could you tell me where do i do the configuration?

    SOGoSMTPServer = 127.0.0.1:25;

in SOGo config file, try to remove ':25' in smtp server address.

This syntax is wrong, it should be:

mynetworks = 127.0.0.1 172.20.0.8 172.17.0.6 192.168.3.4 172.30.0.3 192.168.2.11 172.17.0.10 172.17.0.20

After above 2 fixes, sogo should be fine.

a HUGE THANK YOU! smile
