I experienced this same problem. Fixed with a cron edit for the sogo usr

run:
crontab -e -u sogo

edit:
*   *   *   *   *   /usr/sbin/sogo-tool expire-sessions 30 2>/dev/null; /usr/sbin/sogo-ealarms-notify 2> /dev/null

You have "listen = /run/php/php7.0-fpm.sock" in php-fpm config file, but Nginx is looking for /var/run/php-fpm.socket.

If you don't have any important data in SOGo yet, try this:

- Stop sogo service.
- Drop sogo sql db
- Create it again without specified character set: "CREATE DATABASE sogo;"
- Restart sogo.

iRedMail uses "UTF8" by default, but CentOS 6 ships MySQL 5.1 which is old and doesn't support long index key length (required by SOGo sql template).

CentOS 7 ships newer MariaDB and no problem with standard iRedMail installation.

Hard to help troubleshoot without (FULL) log related to this email in Postfix and iRedAPD log file.

Thanks. Resolved.
/etc/php/7.0/fpm/pool.d/www.conf
must have been updated to new version during package update without a prompt.

Re: Blocking "EHLO ylmf-pc" connection attempts

Thanks for this. I am familiar with fail2ban on Linux but this is the first time I have installed it on FreeBSD, using the py-fail2ban port.

After installing that port, putting your file in the filter.d directory, and starting the fail2ban daemon, the mail server logged 61 more ylmf connection attempts from the same IP address in less than 10 minutes. There is no indication of blocking (or of a problem) in the fail2ban log. Is any other configuration required?

Thanks again.

Hi,

I re-open this post with some doubts.

I enabled SQL in bayes, connection is fine and I see a lot of entry, but I dont't know if really spamassassin its filtering emails because some users are receiving emails without mark "SPAM" and they clearly are spam. Score is 2 (for example) and limit are 4.31. All email are same value ~ and none is marked as SPAM.

How could I check if Spamassassin its working?

I was checking some files:

local.cf (spamassassin)
required_score      5.0
rewrite_header      subject [ SPAM ]
use_bayes          1
bayes_auto_learn   1
bayes_auto_expire  1

I wonder if it was sent without a FQDN as the From: which is why it just appended mx.domain.com to it? Although loking at main.cf that should be rejected by reject_non_fqdn_sender

Issue on sending emails

iRedMail Version: 0.9.5
Linux: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, Kernel 4.9
MySQL
Nginx
Not managing with iRedAdmin-Pro.

Description:
All iRedMail elements used to work properly on my server. However, I found that it cannot send emails recently while it still can receiving.

I use IMAP and SMTP clients to manage my emails. No matter what I send, the emails just keep staying in "outbox" folder, not in "sent". I tried different clients, and I can eliminate failure on my own networking.

Since receiving function still work, here's some log when iRedMail receiving emails. When sending, no new logs was generated on iredapd.log. Email addresses are replaced with asterisks.

Re: Iredmail hooks / notifications on mail reception

When I followed  the tutorial you sent to me earlier and tried to send an email, it said : "Is there any server running on port 5432 on host 127.0.0.1 ?" . When I start the local postgresql service (on Iredmail Docker container), it said 'FATAL:  password authentication failed for user "vmail" '.

P.S: The Postgresql containing all mailing data (iredapd,vmail,amavisd) is located on an isolated container. I am running iredmail on another container as well. Why is it looking locally for the database when using the hooks ??

When I tried to shutdown local postgres (installed on the iredmail container), it said (on /var/log/iredapd/iredapd.log):
"2017-04-17 13:27:27 ERROR Unexpected error: (OperationalError) could not connect to server: Connection refused
        Is the server running on host "127.0.0.1" and accepting
        TCP/IP connections on port 5432?"

Please advise.

All this is done. Some spam mails are quaratined ok, and some others only has header rewrited.
But i think where the problem is. I am using amacube plugin in roundcube. And this plugin is adding data to amavisd database policy table, And is changing spam_kill_level spam_tag_level, etc values.

Spam sending has stopped.
Should I try to fix amavis or just leave it?
Not sure what to look for in the config files to troubleshoot the problem.
Can I just reinstall the whole system to the latest release?

When I do a mail server check on my own mail server using the mxtoolbox.com web site, it reports that my server does not support STARTTLS. This is their explanation of the error:

Your SMTP email server does advertise support for TLS.  After connecting to your mail server we issue an EHLO command to introduce ourselves and to request that your server announce which commands and protocols it supports. Your server's response did not include "250-STARTTLS" indicating TLS support.

I have checked in the main.cf config file of my Postfix, and I have

smtp_tls_security_level = may

What is the problem?

How do I fix this?

On our old server (CentOS 6.9 with OpenWebMail) I created mail lists for my users by adding an alias to /etc/aliases as follows:

maillist1: :include:/var/lib/samba/maillists/maillist1.txt

This allowed the no-so-technical users to add/update the mail lists via SAMBA and was a pretty elegant solution.

With iRedmail I am finding non-existent email addresses  are rejected before they get to postfix for delivery. I've tried editing/adding a Global Address Book using phpldapadmin but it is not working according the the documentation at http://www.iredmail.org/docs/ldap.add.mail.list.html. Also, adding 112 email addresses that way is tedious and  prone to error.

Is there  a batch method for setting up Global Address Books or, even better, a way to allow users to email aliases defined in a text file such as my example above?

Hey zhang,
i thought when web mail communicate with postfix in 127.0.0.1 it uses port 25
but still..i cannot communicate from webmail to postfix.

when this option enabled (postscreen_upstream_proxy_protocol = haproxy) in main.cf

I just installed iRedMail 0.9.6 MYSQL edition in ubuntu 16.04 with apache web server in order to move from postfix-dovecote-mysql to iRedMail.I did the following changes in  /opt/www/iredadmin/libs/default_settings.py:
MAILDIR_HASHED = False
MAILDIR_PREPEND_DOMAIN = True
MAILDIR_APPEND_TIMESTAMP = False
and in /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf:
mail_location = maildir:%Lh/:INDEX=%Lh/
location = maildir:%%Lh/:INDEX=%%Lh/Shared/%%Ld/%%Ln
in order to make mailbox directory look like the old server, and it looks fine but the maildir field in mailbox table still look xxx.yyy/user instead of user@xxx.yyy..so i need to know how to do it.
I need to be sure of movement possibility from old postfix/dovecot to iRedMail before I move to second step which having license so any help will be much appreciated
